Our Week: June 17-21, 2019

Another hot week at Workman Communications! But that isn’t stopping us!

Starting off our week with a bang! Installing a (40+) CAT6 drops to a new customer of ours by the name of Matheson Trucking. If you didn’t know,  Cat6  is the sixth generation of twisted pair Ethernet cabling that is used in home and business networks.  Cat6  cabling is backward compatible with the  Cat5 and  Cat5e standards that preceded it. ( read more about low voltage cabling by clicking here ) We also completed some cubical routing, Access Point installation, and cabling for Projectors. This project took about 3 days to complete.

Next, we headed to USCB America this week doing some of our famous TV mountings. We installed (3) TVs total! (1) 80″ in the board room,  a 70″ TV in a break room and also a 65″ into a huddle. This customer also wanted (2) sound bars and (2) Apple TV s to be installed and connected to these TVs for meetings, webinars, etc.

Heating and Cooling Supply , located here in Sacramento, contacted us for a few projects. So we scheduled that for this week as well! Our team installed (16) CCTV cables, Speco Cameras, NVR, and also mounted a TV on the wall for viewing of the camera feed. This NVR allows you to stream and record up to 32 video channels of video, with a resolution of up to 8MP! How cool is that?! These Speco cameras include High definition 4MP image sensor that delivers double the detail of 1080p and Color Night Vision that delivers full color nighttime video for improved recognition of objects in low light conditions. We’ll be completing a similar install at their Modesto location in a few weeks!

We love our residential customers just as much as our commercial ones! We especially love our repeat, loyal customers! We received a call that channel 3 was down at a customers home in Davis, and had been down for a while. So Rick and Chris stopped by and realigned her antenna, made sure her connections were good, and also upgraded her firmware on her CD player.

Another amazing, loyal customer of ours, Buffalo Wilds Wings , needed us to install a new projector. We were shipped a new projector from their headquarters, and out to Folsom we went! Our technician, Chris, carefully removed the old, dusty, broken projector and installed this new Panasonic Projector. He hooked it up, tested, and went on his way! (But not before eating a couple wings…)
